About Us John Lewis Shipman Wedding Photography and Fine Art Family Portraiture is a residential studio located in the heart of Southern Chester County, Pennsylvania and very close to the Internationally Acclaimed Longwood Gardens. The husband and wife team, or John & Kim, practice their craft from Maine to the Virgin Islands and from England to Costa Rica. Mr. Shipman began his photography career in the United States Navy where he was trained as a periscope photographer. In fact, he lost all his hair on the first wedding in 1966... just kidding. After graduating from Antonelli Institute of Art and Photography in 1992, John has developed and is very well known for his absolute dedication to his brides and grooms and the families he and his wife photograph. Mr. Shipman graduated first in his class from Antonelli at age 48 and has since continued his education to become a Certified Professional Photographer by the Professional Photographers of America. In 2000, John received his Craftsman's Degree and in 2002, his Masters Degree, both from the Professional Photographers of America.  Kodak has published an image multiple times, entitled "Do You Feel The Magic" which won a Kodak Galley Elite award in 1996. Photography is about memories; "The Good Old Times" are right now.  Photography is about feeling what you see. Photography is about seeing a relationship and having it touch you. Photography is a "thousand words" straight from your heart.
